Lost at the sea on a stormy night
The skies thundered, and brought out some light
And in those moments, as his eyes lit up
He gazed upon an enchanting sight

There in the distance, he saw a face
With a sparkling smile, that was filled with grace
And when those eyes called out his name
He gathered his might, and caught up some pace

He swam through the ocean, so dark and fierce
The waters through his heart did pierce
Then one by one, he shut out those waves
And waded through, all his clumsy fears

As he reached upon, the sacred shore
The ocean began, to calm down some more
He saw the face, that had brought him there
And realised, what he came there for

There she stood, in her form so complete
He held his heart, as it started to beat
For it had not done so, in a long-long time
And with trembling legs, he got to his feet

He looked deep, into her vacant eyes
That were filled with broken dreams, and cries
And as he gazed down, further still
He saw a shadow, in her heart rise

The shadow, was a reflection of his soul
And in that moment, he let go off control
That he had put, on his love for long
For in her half, he saw his whole
