She was one of a kind
The girl who blew my mind
The touch of her hand left me nothing to spare
Hit me like sunshine, and turned me blind
She would play with her hair
Put her feet on the chair
Lay her head in her lap
And blankly stare
With a sightless gaze, and a voice so sweet
The world got lost, when our eyes would meet
If only she lets out, what she holds inside
I’d give it all up, in a single heartbeat
People, they come and go
Some are concerned, but fewer show
She genuinely was, and showed it too
But didn’t get lost, in her emotional flow
She called me an idiot, this girl of mine
I smiled and said, “It’s fine o’ fine”
‘Coz idiots we both were
From the ‘centre, beginning and end’ of time
Love was just a four-lettered word before she came
It was ruled by the eyes, and played like a game
But now I’ve found the bliss that it is
I know, it won’t be the same again
This girl, when I look into her eyes
The world fades away, the heart tells no lies
All I can see is her beauty
Time fades away, and like wind, it endlessly flies
My heart stops, when I see her face
It goes down to zero, with a steady pace
Then jumps to a 100, and leaves me breathless
When I see her face, oh, when I see her face
I love her, with every bit of my heart
And will do all I can, to keep us from being apart
‘Coz this love, I can’t hope to lose
She matters, from the ‘centre, end, and the start’…
“The way to a woman’s heart is through poetry”. And you have that!!
Keep sharing 🙂
